Facebook on Renovation Drive: Preparing To Counter the Google+ Threat

The war between Google+ and Facebook has been getting fiercer as Facebook is in mood to give in to Google that easily. Facebook has recently launched its biggest acquisition spree comprising of more than 20 planned acquisitions this year, compared to 10 last year. Most of these are applications. The acquisitions done by Facebook this year are mobile ad company Relation, mobile application creator Snaptu, group chat company Beluga, Mac app maker Sofa, and iPad application maker Push Pop Press. They are also working with movie-based entertainment applications. Music is also on top of charts with Facebook and they are clearing certain legal bottlenecks to expand it.

Google is using its authority on search to promote every aspect of its Social Media Google+. Google videos called YouTube are also being linked to Google+ and needless to say YouTube has a formidable presence in this sector. Facebook is also challenged by Twitter, which has announced wide-ranging improvements to be carried out soon. Facebook has also started filtering the news feed. Sooner the visibility of your posts will be increased on Facebook and if you are mentioning any brand or company name, there would be some special treatment given to it. So, over all we are going to see a better version of Facebook sooner.
